2010 in review

Firstly, Happy New Year to all!

2010 was an interesting year modelling wise, I finally managed to get started on this project despite several years of working on Dunbracken as a test and mulling over the best way to go about building the larger layout.

Kew certainly turned up some interesting ingredients for the beginnings of a layout plan, as well as providing a sound basis to develop a layout history from.

The baseboards are ready to be bolted together, and i’ve GOT to get at least one assembled in time for the Tonbridge MRC exhibition on the 19th February this year.

I now have all the track required to assemble the layout when I get to that stage, so things are coming together.

Fingers crossed 2011 will see something turn a wheel on Isle Ornsay under it’s own power, I’ve already got a potential invite to an exhibition in 2012 with it sans scenery as a work in progress.

Hopefully next time I’ll have some more of the route or some baseboard work to report.
