Running a layout in a prototypical manner helps create a sense of it being a model of a real railway. When I’ve decided how Isle Ornsay is best operated to achieve this i’ll update this page.

This site describes the construction of my 4mm scale narrow gauge layout, Isle Ornsay. It is the Southernmost terminus of a proposed line on the Isle of Skye, part of 4 railways proposed under the Hebridean Light Railway Proposal of 1898.
The other aspect of this site is to describe both proposed and constructed narrow gauge railways located in Scotland.
I occasionally describe places I've been, or things that I've enjoyed, but it all has a railway theme.
